Millie Ifill Fish Market Redevelopment

Our Client, Barbados Port Inc. officially opened the new Millie Ifill Fish Market in Weston, St. James. The reconstruction, one of the major projects in Barbados Port Inc’s Corporate social responsibility programme, provides critical support to the fishing industry. The existing facility was in decline over the years and needed significant improvement.

Accordingly, the new project involved the demolition, reconstruction, and expansion of the market to offer fisherfolk, boat owners, residents, and facility visitors a new, fit for purpose facility that meets the highest standards for food handling and retail. The project will include Photo-Voltaics on the roof as part of a green initiative in the future.
